| Strain description |
B6-SR-PSOX mice are knockout mice of SR-PSOX/CXCL16 and C57BL/6 gene background. We also supply of BALB-CXCL16 mice (nbio197), which are BALB/c gene background. SR-PSOX, a molecule cloned as scavenger receptor, is identified as transmembrane chemokine CXCL16 involved in migration of NKT cell or activated T-cell. This strain decreases the number of NKT cells in liver due to inhibit NKT cells homing to liver, whereas this strain suppresses the onset of ConA-induced hepatitis. The research of this strain showed that SR-PSOX expressed in antigen-presenting cells was essential for promoting IFN-γ production in NKT cells and inducing Th1-type immune response. It considers that Th1-type immune response may be regulated by the control of SR-PSOX/CXCL16 activity in the infection of bacteria or viruses. |
