| Strain description |
Mice in which Akita mutation (C96Y) was introduced into the insulin 1 gene via genome editing using TALEN and ssODN. Homozygous mice exhibit hyperglycemia from a young age. Note that natural mating between homozygous males and females may be difficult since homozygous individuals exhibit hyperglycemia. |
