| Strain description |
This strain is specifically overexpressing activated NHE1 in myocardia, therefore it's a cardiac hypertrophy and heart failure model triggered by increase of intracellular Na+ concentration by NHE1 activation. NHE1 is a important ion transporter to keep cell homeostasis and a member of Na+/H+ Exchangers (NHE) family. |
