| Strain description |
This strain is desmin-related cardiomyopathy model mice and cardiomyocyte-specifically expressing CryAB (R120G) which is a point mutant of CryAB (also called HSPB), which is one of the low-molecular-weight stress proteins (ref.1). It shows that these mice are palliated symptoms of desmin-related cardiomyopathy and prolonged survival by antianginal drug nicorandil which is a ATP-sensitive potassium channel opener (ref.2). |
